USSOCOM Innovation Foundry (IF12)
SOFWERX, in collaboration with USSOCOM’s Directorate of Science and Technology (S&T) Futures, Norwegian Special Operations Command (NORSOCOM), and the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), will host the twelfth Innovation Foundry (IF12) Event in Oslo, Norway

About the Event
An event hosted in collaboration between FFI, NORSOCOM and U.S Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). This is the first time USSOCOM will carry out this type of event outside the U.S. This is the first step in what USSOCOM calls its "innovation cycle" and the participants will use design-thinking methodology to identify concepts for future operations within a given scenario (Link to film showing this cycle).
The follow-up events will address these concepts and develop concrete capabilities that will move to the prototype and procurement stage. In other words, this is a unique opportunity to help influence how Norwegian and US SOF utilize emerging technology. There is a strong desire from the event committee for Norwegian industrial participation.
The registration deadline for this event is December 7th.
