Restaurants 

Le Diplomate is a French Cuisine restaurant with options for brunch, lunch, and dinner. It is located at 1601 14th St NW.

Old Ebbitt Grill is a seafood Restaurant with Brunch, Lunch, or Dinner options. It is pricier, and reservations are recommended. It is located at 675 15th Street NW

Founding Farmers American cuisine with Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner options. It has multiple locations in DC. one in Foggy Bottom, one in Georgetown, and one in Chinatown, all of which are accessible by metro.

We have carefully selected hotels such as The Jefferson, The Darcy, the Hyatt House, and Club Quarters for their proximity to the Capitol and the White House. Recommended Hotels in the DC Area

Le Méridien 

Le Méridien is located in Arlington and is a Marriott. They have onsite parking, and the establishment itself has a restaurant, fitness center, bar, and meeting spaces.

The Darcy

The Darcy is a boutique hotel with designer decor. It offers meeting spaces and beautiful hotel rooms or suites. It also serves remarkable drinks and provides fine dining. The Darcy is located near Dupont Circle and Logan Squar which allows you to explore the city a bit better.

The Hyatt House

It is a more simplistic and easy-going hotel with many amenities, including complimentary breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi, pool access, and a 24/7 fitness center. This hotel is located at the wharf on the Potomac River.

Hyatt Centric

Hyatt Centric is another hotel based in Arlington. They have a Starbucks coffee bar, lounge, and restaurant as well as a fitness center.

The Club Quarters

Is another simplistic hotel designed to fit your everyday needs. Its amenities include collaborative workspaces and complimentary coffee. This hotel is located near the Capitol and the Farragut West Metro station allowing for easy travel.

Melrose Georgetown Hotel

The Melrose Georgetown Hotel is located in Georgetown. It is near the Foggy Bottom metro station, which allows for easyaccess. The hotel has a 24-hour fitness center and transportation a variety of room sizes.

Transportation

Welcome to our transportation section for NADIC members. Here, you can find information about various modes of transportation available in the city, including the metro, metrobus, rental bikes, and rental electric scooters. We aim to provide you with professional and comprehensive information to help you choose the best transportation option for your needs.

Transportation in DC

Metrobus

The fare for regular routes is $2 while express routes are $4.25. You will use the same card you use on the metro to pay for these buses.

Capital Bikeshare

For a single ride, it costs $1 every .05 minutes. If you want to ride for a day it is $8 a day​.

DC Exploration

Washington D.C. is a city full of history and culture, offering a wide range of activities for people to enjoy on their days off. The National Mall is a must-see, with its iconic monuments and memorials. The Kennedy Center is a world-renowned performing arts venue, while the Bot Gardens offer a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The National Gallery of Art is a treasure trove of masterpieces, and the Spy Museum is a unique and fascinating experience. Did you know that D.C. was originally built on a swamp?   • Presidents John Quincy Adams and Herbert Hoover allegedly kept Alligators on the grounds of the White House.

  • There are underground tunnels beneath the Capitol.​​

  • The Library of Congress is the largest in the world. It has three buildings that contain a wide variety of books. 

  • Washington D.C. is not a state as per the Constitution.

  • There’s a bronze statue called the Statue of Freedom atop the Capitol building. This is a woman wearing a headdress in the shape of an eagle’s head.

  • The Washington Monument used to be the tallest in the world. Then, the Eiffel tower was built.
